Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Dr. Sven K. Weber is an internationally experienced manager with proven expertise in the industrial enzyme business. Since 2011 he has held various leadership positions within the BASF Group, most recently heading its global enzyme business.

As Vice President, Dr. Weber was responsible for the global business unit Feed Enzymes & Feed Performance Ingredients of the BASF Group. In this role he consistently aligned the business towards innovation-driven profitable growth and significantly increased sales and earnings. Prior to that, he led the worldwide automotive OEM business of Chemetall GmbH, at the time part of the BASF Group, as Global Segment Director. At hte GmbH in Heidelberg, a leading provider of high-throughput solutions for R&D workflows, he headed contract research. Dr. Weber began his professional career at the Merck Group in Darmstadt. He therefore combines experience in industrial research and technology development with the leadership of global business units carrying full profit and loss responsibility.

Dr. Sven K. Weber holds a degree in chemistry (Diplom-Chemiker) from the University of Wuppertal and obtained his doctorate at Heidelberg University. He additionally completed an executive programme in general management at the SGMI Management Institute St. Gallen, focusing on strategy, corporate management and finance.

Dr. Sven K. Weber was appointed to the Management Board of BRAIN Biotech AG as Chief Executive Officer with effect from October 1, 2026 and until September 30, 2029.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Michael Schneiders has more than twenty years of experience in the capital markets business with a focus on German equities and international institutional investors. Prior to joining BRAIN, he held various management positions in investment banking, including Head of Equities & Research. He was also involved in BRAIN's IPO.

Michael Schneiders studied business administration with a focus on finance and marketing at the University of Siegen, Germany, and economics at the University of Redlands, USA. He also completed several executive education modules in the USA at the Kellogg School of Management and the University of Chicago.

In May 2020, Michael Schneiders joined the then BRAIN AG as Head of Investor Relations and later also became Head of Sustainability. BRAIN Biotech AG has appointed Michael Schneiders as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from October 1, 2022, and until September 30, 2029.
